CARBONIC-ISH PETIT VERDOT

Petit Verdot grown by Matthieu Finot at Turk Mountain Vineyards in Afton, VA in the Monticello AVA. We split lot of grapes and direct pressed half of the lot then put the juice onto whole clusters in a high CO2 rich environment as a quasi-carbonic method to pull out jammy flavors with minimal tannin extraction. This was native yeast fermented and only a touch of sulfur was added prior to bottling. Nothing else was added or subtracted. This is a super versatile wine, light, chuggable, great for warm weather (or cold), perfect with pizza and a friend.
